About us

About us

We are an independent Dharma center under the guidance of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, who gave us the name Gyuma Yungkar Chang Yerme Ling. Our aim is to support and share the teachings and practices of all Tibetan Buddhist traditions—primarily through lectures, seminars, and group practices, as well as through written publications, printed books, and video resources.

We base our program on Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche's advice:

"If you practise your Dharma very sincerely, then I'm sure you will not become a sectarian, and you will have equal respect for all sects and traditions.

To become sectarian, thinking that 'my sect is superior and the others are inferior,' means that your mind is not touched by Dharma: You are involved in a kind of worldly institution, a group or a party and then Dharma is left somewhere and you are trapped — in the name of Dharma — in an organization or party.

So whoever has this kind of mentality, for sure he or she is not a Dharma-practitioner, but rather a party to some group."

In this spirit, we warmly welcome all Buddhist traditions, and our facilities are available for rent at reasonable rates. Several Buddhist masters will be visiting again in 2025, and we welcome suggestions for teaching topics.

We feel a strong connection with and are inspired by the following groups, with whom we also collaborate: Siddharthas Intent, Khyentse Foundation84000Khyentse VisionKhadro LingTārāvanaCasa Virupa, Ganden Chökhor. And last, but very far from least, our Berlin friends and colleagues: Dharma Mati and Bodhicharya.

If you have a special connection to a particular master from any tradition, please feel free to reach out to us — together, we may be able to help facilitate a visit.

Meet some of our Visiting Lamas

Throughout the years many teachers have visited us and have given Buddhist teachings or have bestowed empowerments.  They are:
