About the event

Bodhicharya is delighted that Gyalton Rinpoche will be visiting Bodhicharya. He is a highly esteemed teacher in the Karma Kagyu tradition and known for his profound yet accessible teachings. His visit is a special opportunity to receive firsthand guidance from the lineage. We warmly invite everyone to take advantage of this rare and valuable opportunity.

In three consecutive sessions, he will provide explanations of one of the most precious texts of Mahayana Buddhism: the “37 Practices of Bodhisattvas” by Thogme Zangpo.

This classical Buddhist text summarizes in clear and poetic verses how a bodhisattva—a being committed to the welfare of all other beings—thinks, acts, and transforms everyday life into the practice of awakening. The verses demonstrate how to deal with inner challenges such as attachment, anger, or pride and instead develop love, compassion, wisdom, and determination.

Gyalton Rinpoche will explain the text in an accessible, direct way and show how its timeless wisdom can also come alive in our modern everyday lives.
