Kurukulle (Red Tara): Empowerment and Teachings  €40 / reduced €25

The deity Kurukulle belongs to the Lotus family and represents the female principle of wisdom and realization. Her activity primarily involves magnetizing — attracting positive conditions and qualities for one’s spiritual development and for the benefit of all beings.

She has the power to transform negative emotions such as ignorance, anger, and hatred into wisdom, compassion, and love in a powerful way.

Rinpoche will bestow the Kurukulle empowerment based on a terma (revealed treasure teaching) from Rongzompa.

Thursday, Sept 18, 6:30 PM

Manjushri Dzogchen Prayer: Transmission and Teachings €30 / reduced €20

The Thursday event will also be broadcast internationally via Zoom.

This prayer was composed by Mipham Rinpoche (1846–1912), one of the most outstanding figures in Tibetan history.

In Dzogchen, or the “Great Perfection,” the focus is on recognizing our true nature. Our mind is usually caught in a state of continuous obscuration and confusion — a self-created maze of emotions and concepts.

The way out of this limited perspective lies in the discovery and recognition of our true nature and innate wisdom. With this insight, we can recognize obstacles and the many appearances of the world as illusion-like reflections of our own mind and integrate them into the view of our true nature.

H.E. Lhalung Sungtrul Rinpoche

Rinpoche is regarded as the 11th Speech Incarnation of Pema Lingpa (1450–1521), one of the five great Tertön Kings — discoverers of spiritual treasures (termas) in the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition. For centuries, Pema Lingpa has continuously reincarnated as a series of significant masters.

Sungtrul Rinpoche was born in 1968 in Bhutan and was recognized in 1969 as a tulku by H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche, H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and H.H. the 16th Karmapa.

In Bhutan, Rinpoche is responsible for Drametse ("Peak without Enemies"), a monastery in eastern Bhutan, and for two monasteries in Bumthang, where novices and monks are trained according to Pema Lingpa’s lineage.

This year marks Rinpoche’s third visit to Europe, and his first visit to Berlin.
